  • AI is on everyone’s mind. Truth be told, the impact of AI is very nuanced and multifaceted. I’ve written a few articles on the subject and will probably be writing more. You can find those in-depth articles on my LinkedIn. (While you’re there, I invite you to connect with me)

    In short, the growing popularity of generative artificial intelligence has led to increased demand for human writers. Yes, more companies are hiring more freelance writers then they did before generative AI. 

    Why? There are a few reasons, but the main ones are as follows: AI is only good for the first rough draft. I’ve been hired to revise and rewrite AI-produced copy for various clients. And I made a world of difference (their words, not mine).

    Secondly, AI cannot incorporate your feedback like a person can. It is not a collaborative partnership. Sometimes, shepherding the AI is more frustrating and time-consuming than just writing it yourself. 

    Finally, AI lacks empathy and doesn’t understand the pain points of your target market. Nor can AI comprehend tone or brand voice. AI provides fast, cheap, inaccurate, uncompelling, and bad copy— unintentionally demonstrating the indispensable value of clear, concise, and competent content. 


  • AI is a tool, not a replacement. I find AI to be the most helpful in jumpstarting my research. AI can quickly provide great insight into a target audience. Which helps me write better and faster.

  • Technology accounts for the bulk of my experience. Medicine comes in as a close second. However, I’ve been lucky enough to write for nonprofits, real estate, senior living, and much more! You’ll see some of these industries in the sample section. 

  • I include two rounds of revision for each project. You have two opportunities to give your feedback, critiques, and general vibes about a piece of content. Any additional revisions may incur an extra charge. 

  • hat depends on your project’s size and my existing schedule. I’ve done rush jobs in a weekend and meticulously worked on huge white papers over months. In general, I can complete any project within 1 - 3 weeks. If you want to reserve my time, check out the monthly retainer options below. 

    (Please note: I reserve the right to charge additional rush fees of at least 25% of the total project cost for jobs with deadlines of 48 hours or less)

  • How much time do you have? I’ve always loved writing. In high school, I worked with a published author to write my very own novels. In college, my curiosity could not be contained in one major. After college, I worked a variety of jobs: technician at Henrico County’s Recreation and Parks department, Flyman for a theatre in Las Vegas, and even Marketing Manager. Each experience taught me something, and I’m grateful for each one. However, they ultimately led me to my passion for writing.
